We have the standard 5K-50K Saturday and Sunday.    Monday we will have 5K-marathon distances available.    We won't have a 50K offering on Monday.  Once again if you are feeling strong - keep running and we will settle up with you after the race!   If you need to switch to a shorter distance, we will count that, too.  You won't get a refund for the shorter distance but you don't get a DNF!      

Last year I don't think we had ANY 5K finishers.  Why are we excited about that???    Everyone completed the 5K wanted to go out one more time to enjoy the beautiful course and made it one more lap to get in the 10K.    We had several 10K first timers and are so proud they wanted to make our race their first 10K.    The crowds went wild when we had these finishers cross the finish line!    We celebrate every single finisher.   We don't pack down the finish line before every crosses - after all - that's miserable and a real kick to the gut and ego!    That won't happen here - we promise!  

But we did add a twist to the normal race strategy this year.    

New this year is an additional race on Saturday - 24 Hour Relay Team!!   You can have 3-5 runners on your team.  Each loop must be ran by a different runner but still leaves an opportunity for runners to get in an individual race and then join the relay, too.  For example: if you have 5 people on your team - 4 people can take turns in the morning leaving the 5th person to register for her own race.   Then she/he can join your relay team after she/he finishes.   Your team does not have to run the entire 24 hours - you can stop at any time, take a break - regroup, take a nap, grab lunch, whatever and then go back out.   This is just your time to test your team's limits and have fun!!      Please do let a timer know when you're stopping though so we can keep track as to who is out there and when the group went back into motion!   Also we will need volunteers willing to stay up through the night to help time the course and log the mileage.

This is a trail run - there are uneven surfaces, rocks, roots, tree stumps, creek crossings, holes, and the tenants. This is NOT a walk in the park. You can walk, skip, run, crawl or whatever you choose, but don't plan on this being a paved, flat as a pancake course. I guarantee you, it's none of those.

The race is held in Coalgate, Oklahoma. 3 days of racing, who could ask for any more fun? Bring you family and enjoy yourselves. We do offer primitive camping at the race site for anyone interested.
